Sundowner Trailers, Inc. The Shipman family founded Sundowner Trailers, Inc. in 1976 to produce and sell quality horse and livestock trailers. Though the setting has changed from the hay barn in which the first Sundowner trailers were built to the state of the art manufacturing facilities now used, the goal is still the same: to be the benchmark for craftsmanship in horse, livestock and sport utility trailers.
